Words Off Paper

For San Francisco Bay Area Word Lovers: Check out Words Off Paper—a pop-up event that happens 3-4 times a year featuring local and regional writers for a read-aloud event.

Each Words Off Paper event will feature 6 writers each pulling words from their pages to perform for a live audience. The writers will each have about 10 minutes to feature poetry, prose, or song ranging from inspiring to humorous, adventurous to erotic, heartbreaking to uplifting. Each event will have a loose theme, but the exact concoction will be up to the authors themselves.

Words Off Paper events will take place at local Marin and Sonoma County bookshops, cafes, restaurants, and bars as a collaborative community experience which is a triple win: Writers get to share their work with a live audience, the audience will enjoy an afternoon of literary fun, and local merchants and eateries will be exposed to new potential customers and patrons.

A small entrance fee is charged to offset the costs of running Words Off Paper.
